MARRIAGE MINISTRY

Are you planning to be married in the Catholic Church?

Your first step is to contact your local parish to arrange a meeting with the pastor/assistant. The requirements for marriage in the church will be explained and the necessary paperwork and preparation completed.

Is this a second marriage for you?

Seminars in preparation for remarriage are offered for persons in a new relationship who want to find out if this relationship may lead to marriage. Widowed persons may also benefit from issues raised in the programme. For information please call Pastoral Services at 738-5025, ext. 228.

Wedding Anniversary Mass:

The Wedding Anniversary Mass provides an occasion to celebrate the fidelity of couples married 25, 40, 50, and 60 or more years. The celebration is held annually on the first Sunday in May at Notre Dame Cathedral. Pre-registration is required. Please call your local parish for further details.

Training for Marriage Preparation leaders in parishes:

Workshops on marriage preparation and/or the FOCCUS premarital inventory are offered periodically throughout the year. Please call 738-5025 for further information or watch the Diocesan News for details of upcoming training.
