Missions

Our Diocesan Missions Office operates on a co-op basis. Missionary congregations are invited to request, in writing, to be part of our Archdiocesan Mission Co-op Plan. Representatives of the missions arrange a visit with the pastors of their assigned parishes. The purpose of these visits being to inform the Catholic community of their particular mission works and to make an appeal for assistance. These mission appeals usually take place during the months of June to September.

Other mission endeavours are coordinated under the Pontifical Mission Societies. It includes the Society for the Propagation of the Faith; Society of St. Peter the Apostle; Holy Childhood Association; and Missionary Union of the Clergy and Religious.
