Four New DEACONS ORDAINED SUNDAY FOR THE FRENCH SECTOR

Ottawa (Ontario) During Mass on Sunday, September 25th, at 2:30 p.m., at Notre Dame Cathedral, Sussex Drive, Ottawa Archbishop Marcel Gervais will ordain four new permanent deacons for the French Sector of the Archdiocese. They are:

Michel DAoust
Arnel Guillemette
Jacques Mayer
Gaston Savage

Their ordination to the Permanent Deaconate follows a four-year training program, which involves biblical, theological, pastoral, spiritual and liturgical formation. These men have also proven themselves by their work in their parishes, their proclamation of the Word and their commitment to the poor.

With Sundays ordination, there will now be 22 deacons serving in the French Sector of the Archdiocese.

Everyone is invited to attend Sundays celebration, which will last approximately 90 minutes. Please note that it is possible to interview these future deacons after Sundays ordination. A reception in the Cathedral Hall will follow the celebration.
