NATIONAL SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR 2022 INTERNATIONAL EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS: To take place the weekend of May 24-25, 2022, The Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ, two weeks before the start of the Eucharist Congress. THE ARK OF THE NEW COVENANT: From April 6th to the 14th, the Ark of the new Covenant passed through our Archdiocese, stopping at several parishes. The Ark, along with several porters, began its journey on Easter Sunday at the Canadian Martyrs Shrine in Midland and will be passing through four other national shrines: St-Joseph`s Oratory, Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Lac Bouchette and Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré. Archbishop Terrence Prendergast and the official diocesan delegate of the International Eucharistic Congress, Father Michel Pommainville would like to express their deepest gratitude to the diocesan team involved in bringing the Ark to the Ottawa area, to those who volunteered, to leaders in each of the host parishes, to priests and members of the pastoral team, to host families, to the police and to all who walked with the pilgrims.
