EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS SPECIAL COLLECTION: From June 15 - 22, Canada is welcoming the 49th International Eucharistic Congress to Quebec City. This great event will gather thousands of pilgrims from Canada and around the world. A special collection will be held in all churches in Canada on the occasion of the Feast of Corpus Christi, May 24-25. Organizers of the Congress are again counting on your generosity to assure success of the gathering, of which the spiritual fruits will certainly have a positive effect on the life of our Church. WORLD ELDER ABUSE AWARENESS DAY JUNE 15: The United Nations International Plan of Action adopted by all countries in Madrid, April 2002, clearly recognizes the importance of addressing and preventing abuse and neglect of older adults and puts it in the framework of Universal Human Rights. June 15 is recognized as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day to draw attention to the need for people to understand what abuse and neglect of older adults is and how it can be prevented.
