APPOINTMENT OF EPISCOPAL VICARS: Father Joseph Muldoon for the English Sector to replace Msgr. Len Lunney who will be retiring and Father Michel Pommainville for the French Sector to replace Fr. Doris Laplante, C.Ss.R. who will continue as Chancellor and Judicial Vicar. Fathers Muldoon and Pommainville will assume their responsibilities as of January 1st, 2022 while maintaining responsibilities for their parishes until the clergy changes in the summer.

CHRISTMAS SEASON RECEPTION: Archbishop Terrence Prendergast, S.J. and the members of the Episcopal Council, wish to invite all members of the clergy, the religious and the faithful of the archdiocese, to a Christmas Season Reception on Sunday, January 6, 2022, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. in Cathedral Hall. ADULT FAITH DEVELOPMENT & LITURGY - LITURGICAL MINISTRY AS A CALL TO DISCIPLESHIP: Why do we celebrate Sunday Eucharist? SUPPORT TO THE SEPARATED AND DIVORCED: This ministry will take a break for the Christmas period, and start up again on January 16, 2022 with a talk by a lawyer - Raquel Beesley - on the issue of Mediation versus Court Action in cases of separation and divorce. Our Support Group for those experiencing the trauma of separation or divorce will meet on Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. as follows: Jan 16 & 30, March 15 & 19, April 2 & 16, and May 7 & 21.

CONFIRMATIONS ON PENTECOST SUNDAY: Archbishop Prendergast invites interested adult and secondary school age candidates to receive the sacrament of Confirmation at Notre Dame Cathedral on Pentecost Sunday, May 11, at the noon Mass. All candidates will have registered at their respective parish and have received the appropriate preparation there. Parishes are to send the names and all necessary information for the preparation of the register to Annmarie Brown at Pastoral Services (613-738-5025, ext. 217; [email protected]) no later than April 1, 2022. The Pastoral Services Office will forward all the provided information to Msgr. Patrick Powers, Pastor at Notre Dame Parish.
